What do you trust; who do you trust? These are questions that deserve a considered answer. Christians can be guilty of trusting the wrong things. We can begin to trust methods and events and programs more than we trust Jesus. When that happens we need to address the failure quickly. We take our example from Israel, as they prepare to attack Ai for a second time…
We can all relate to this, it’s called failure. It can seem so final, so devastating to who we are. I’m sure that Joshua felt this way after the men of Israel were defeated at Ai. How was he supposed to lead them back into battle? How was he ever going to be used by God again? Certainly, his failure meant that he was done, right?
The final message in our series, Renewal, this message focuses on the proof of our renewal; our actions.
Not only must we work to have our minds and spirits renewed and our hearts cleansed, we must also decide to change our attitude. Are you prepared to change your attitude in order to change your behavior?
Christians need a daily renewal of their spirit, unless they have achieved something even the Apostle Paul said he hadn’t achieved…perfection. In this message we look at why we need renewal, and what needs to be renewed.
One of the problems in our journey in the Christian life is to avoid conformity with the world. We do that by working in conjunction with the Holy Spirit to have our minds transformed, renewed. We just need to make sure we do that.
God has assigned a mission, and He intends for us to accomplish that mission. However, we have to be renewed before we can enter into His mission…
