COVID-19 RESPONSE

COVID-19 RESPONSE

Updated on July 2, 2020

Much has changed since we last updated our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is the latest information, as of July 2, 2020:

  1. We will continue to gather as a family of believers!
    1. Due to the size of our facility (social distancing requirements) and county medical guidelines we are limited to no more than 60 people in attendance.
      1. We strongly encourage all who might be at higher risk due to underlying health conditions or other factors to continue to participate in our services from home. We will continue live streaming our services, just as we did before COVID-19.
        1. You can find our live stream on Facebook or through our website.
      2. All persons are required to wear masks under the following guidelines:
        1. Masks should be worn in the entryway, hallway, and restrooms due to the fact that social distancing cannot be maintained in these size-limited areas.
        2. Masks should be worn in the Sanctuary whenever social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks may be removed, at the individual’s discretion, as long as at least six feet of separation exists between individuals who are not in the same household.
        3. The church will have a limited supply of single-use masks if you forget your own. However, you should not rely upon this as replacing these may be difficult in the future.
  2. We have revamped our worship service.
    1. We have moved our greeting time to before the worship service begins. So, if you desire to spend some time in fellowship with the church family, we encourage you to arrive by 10:45. The worship service will begin promptly at 11:00 AM.
    2. We have eliminated the time for collecting the offering. Instead, there is a small offering box in the rear of the Sanctuary. If you are bringing your tithes or offerings to the church physically, please drop them into the box whenever you desire before the service starts. As before, we will continue to offer online giving.
  3. We will not be having Life Enrichment (Sunday school) classes for the foreseeable future. Due to size constraints in our classrooms, social distancing is impossible. We can provide materials for you and your family to utilize during this time if you desire.
  4. Our Wednesday morning Bible study will continue to be live streamed, rather than conducted in person. This will probably continue until this coming Fall.
  5. Our Sunday Night Fellowship Zoom meetings are being continued, so feel free to jump onto one of these meetings whenever possible.
