Our vision is simple: Central Church will strive to be the neighborhood church that supports your family’s journey as you seek God’s will.
Due to having a guest speaker yesterday, and Pastor Alan being gone, we didn’t get the audio recording…we will try to get a copy up on the website later this week…

Bible Reading Challenge: Acts 9:1-43
Bible Memorization Challenge: Acts 10:34–35 (ESV)—34So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, 35but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
I hate being sick, and I especially hated missing yesterday’s service. I truly thought that I was close enough to being well that I could make it through the morning. Believe me when I tell you, I was praying for Joel and all of you that were here yesterday. I know that God heard, and I have also heard that Joel (once again) did an outstanding job of sharing God’s word with all of you.
Beginning in January of 2017, Central will be offering a new opportunity for Bible study and prayer! As many of our folks are having a more difficult time driving at night, I will be scheduling a service for Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM, beginning on January 4th. This service will have the same Bible study lesson as on Wednesday evenings, and we will take time to pray for the many needs of our church, just as we do on Wednesday evenings. I’m waiting for January to start this so I can better synchronize the lessons with the evening service.
Don’t forget to set your clocks back this coming weekend, as Daylight Saving Time ends (technically speaking at 2:00 AM on Sunday morning). You don’t want to miss that extra hour of sleep!
Also, remember our church potluck supper this coming Saturday evening. It will be a great time to welcome Joel and Lydie Teague, and get to know them a little better. Also, I hope you’re planning on attending the Missions Rally this coming Sunday evening at the Beacon FWB Church in Raytown.
I hope to see you in church soon!
