Bible Challenges
Bible Reading Challenge: 2 Corinthians 11:1-33

Bible Memory Challenge: 2 Corinthians 11:14–15 (ESV)—14And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Pastor’s Note
Please remember that we need side dishes and desserts for the luncheon tomorrow for the family of Gary Hobbs. His Memorial Service will be at 12:00 PM, with the luncheon for his family immediately following the service.

As much as I hate to do this, I must tell you that the Watoto concert, scheduled for April 26th, is probably going to be canceled. I don’t have enough host homes for the choir. I will make the final decision at the end of the week, but unless I get 6 host homes between now and Friday, I will be left with no other choice. I need one host home capable of housing 1 adult with 1 child and five that can house 1 adult with two children.

As we approach Easter (it is only three weeks away), I hope you are praying for boldness to invite someone to come and see. That’s what Jesus’ disciples did with their friends. We may not be believed when we talk about the power of God to save. So, invite someone to “come and see.”  Pray that our services on Easter will manifest the presence of God in a powerful way. Pray that those you invite will be impacted by what they experience in a positive manner. Perhaps even consider a day of fasting before you invite someone…

My Or Your Way SignpostThe life of a Christian is often described by the term “walk.” A walk comprises at least two components—a journey with a starting point and ending point, and the manner in which the journey will be conducted. For any journey you have to know where you’re starting from as well as where you’re going. Once a person comes to faith in Christ, those two points are fixed. We start our journey the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and the journey will end in His presence. So, the only thing left for us to determine is the manner in which we will conduct ourselves during the journey. How much will we carry with us, and what will we carry? How far should we walk on any given day, and how often should we rest from the journey? Should we journey alone, or should we invite others alongside with us? Most importantly, what is the purpose of the journey? Each of these questions is answered for us, in the Bible. Beginning on Easter Sunday, we will start a series of messages dealing with our walk, The Journey.

In the meantime—what are you doing to be the church?
