We’re continuing to look at the idea of Living in Crisis Mode.  Whether we realize it or not, that’s where most of us spend the majority of our time.  In reality, we ought to be spending nearly all of our time there…

Bible Challenges
Bible Reading Challenge:
Matthew 3:1-4:11

Bible Memorization Challenge: Deuteronomy 8:3 (ESV)…And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Pastor’s Note
A new week has begun, and I pray that you will take to heart the message from yesterday.  Pray that God would help you begin to lead a radically different life rather than simply living a “normal” life.  I truly believe that God is working in and through us, and our priority in all of this is to be open to God’s leading, be faithful to His calling, and seek to glorify God by bringing others to faith in Jesus Christ.  That is, after all, our mission!

Next week we will be celebrating two events; the first is a celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and the second is a celebration of baptism for two young believers.  It is always an exciting day when we get to experience either of these events, both in one day is even better!

Man with head bowed in prayer.Next week’s sermon is going to be focusing on the necessity of being prepared.  While yesterday the message challenged us to live radically different lives, next week’s will focus on the reality that we have an enemy who desires to derail our lives.  He will distract, he will try to confuse, and he will deceive.  However, there is more than enough power and strength when we are connected to Jesus to overcome the enemy!

Don’t forget, Vacation Bible School is just around the corner!  Keep praying for five new families to be added to Central in the coming months…VBS is a great outreach so let’s pray that as new families send their children to VBS we will be able to reach the entire family with the gospel.

I hope to see you in church soon!
