Pastor’s Note

Well, yesterday was another of those days.  Bitter cold, a parking lot that was snow covered, and slippery roads led to a decision to cancel our services.  I am never happy about that, however, I am also aware that for many people leaving home yesterday morning to come to church was going to be somewhat of a burden.  So, we’ll postpone until next Sunday!  My message is still prepared, the songs are still waiting to be sung, and we can make up for the lost time…

In the meantime, I am going to pray for each and every one of you.  Since I don’t have to prepare a sermon this week, some time praying for you will probably be the best way I can spend my time.  It may seem to be less productive, but I have an ulterior motive.  You see, we’re going to be starting a new series of messages about Using Time.  That’s what yesterday’s message was going to be introducing.  Now, I have even more time to get ready…and I’m going to use that time by praying.  If you’re reading this newsletter by email, then I am praying for you.

You can do me a favor this week, if you wouldn’t mind.  Pray for one another.  Pick a few people and pray for them.  Spend several minutes praying that they would draw nearer to the Lord, that they would be encouraged and strengthened, and that they would see the Lord at work in their lives.  Pray for their spiritual health.  Pray for them to find the Lord’s will, and have the courage to walk in His will.
