Pastor’s Note
What a great day we had yesterday! I hope you are experiencing the power of the Lord in our services like I am. I am being challenged and convicted, encouraged and emboldened! That’s what a worship service is supposed to be doing. Pray for myself and Bill (as well as the other musicians and greeters) that we would continue to listen to the Holy Spirit as we prepare each week.

Now, I do have a serious issue I need to bring up to the Central church family. Over the past three weeks we have twice found prescription pills lying loose in the church. With our youngest children still being in an age group that can tend to taste before thinking, this is especially hazardous. So, if you must bring prescription medicines to church with you, PLEASE be sure to keep them secure, and do your very best to account for all of them. The last thing we want to happen is for one of our youngest to be put in danger by our own medicines.

The Advisory Board and Security Committee are continuing to work on enhancing church security. We have already taken some steps and others are in the planning stages. We are taking this very seriously, and moving forward with implementing our security protocols in a seamless manner. Our goal is to do everything we can, as much as possible, without making it a detraction from our main purpose—worshiping and serving Jesus!

crosses silhouette with the sunset as backgroundJust a quick thought for you, did you know that Easter is only 62 days away (April 1, 2018)? So, have you begun praying about who you can speak to about Jesus, and who you can invite to Easter services? We are planning a full slate of activities for Easter. I believe that the community churches will be gathering for a sunrise service. We will have our Easter Egg Hunt that morning as well as our Community Breakfast. Of course, the choir will be singing some special songs. It will be a busy morning, but it is also one of the best mornings to invite someone who needs to hear about Jesus to come to church.

So—what are you doing to be the church?
