Bible Reading Challenge: Matthew 27:32-56
Bible Memorization Challenge: Matthew 15:10-11 (ESV)…And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand, it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”
How do you show someone that you love them? Obviously, we can (and should) tell them how we feel. However, there has to be more than just words. Even the Bible tells us that words alone aren’t enough, we have to back up those words with actions. If we don’t make sure our actions line up with our words, then we send a mixed message, and that means we aren’t really sending anything worthwhile. I don’t know about you, but I want my messages to get through, loud and clear!
So, what message are you sending to God, today? If you state that you love the Lord, yet your actions are saying something else…what message are you sending? We ought to remember that Jesus told His followers that the greatest (most important, #1 priority) commandment was that we love God with our everything! So, what actions are you going to take today that will show your love for God?
Also remember, you aren’t trying to earn anything by these actions. You can’t…you are simply trying to show God that your love is real. He already showed that His love for is real, on a cross…
I hope to see you in church soon!
