  • Pastor’s Note

If you missed yesterday’s service at Central, than you missed a great time!  The Children’s Christmas program was wonderful, as usual.  Thank you to Beth Daire, Michelle Weeks, Amy Smith, and Nicole Breshears (and any I might have missed) who helped put the program together.  The enthusiasm of our children always picks me up.

Then we had our Adult Choir presentation, as well.  Thanks to Bill Weeks and all of the choir members who worked hard to provide a worshipful experience through music for those in attendance.

To top off my day, I had the privilege of preaching at the ordination service for a young man from Beacon Free Will Baptist Church.  It is always a special time when we can gather together and confirm the call of God upon a young man’s life.  Congratulations and to Rev. Phil Easley and to the Beacon church.

This is the final newsletter for 2013.  It has been a good year for us at Central.  We celebrated our 50th year as an organized church.  We saw several salvation decisions, baptisms, and family additions.  We’ve grown…most importantly, I hope, we’ve grown closer to the Lord, more mature in our walk of faith, and stronger in that faith!  I’m praying that 2014 is more of the same, with even more outreach into our neighborhoods, community, families, and co-workers.  Thank you for a great year, may the next be even better, to God’s glory!
