Bible Challenges
Bible Reading Challenge: Hebrews 1:1-14

Bible Memorization Challenge: Hebrews 1:1–2 (ESV)…Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

Pastor’s Note
Yesterday was an interesting day for me.  I preached at Southview Christian Church, while Pastor Tom Worstell preached here at Central.  I never realized just how comfortable my “own” pulpit was to me until I stepped into a different pulpit to preach.  The people at Southview were friendly, yet I still missed “my” people.  While Tom and I are discussing other means of showing unity in the community, I will be very glad to be back at Central this coming Sunday.

Jesus first on a gold backgroundWe’re going to be starting a new series of messages from the Book of Hebrews that will take us all the way to Easter.  I’m looking forward to what God will be doing through this series, as it is a tremendous challenge to those who claim to be followers of Jesus.  We’ll be looking at how Jesus really is above everything else, as we dive into Hebrews and see that it is Jesus First.

Keep the Advisory Board and Deacon Ministry Team in your prayers as we seek God’s will for Central in the coming year.

I hope to see you in church soon!
