- Current Messages
We were supposed to have our Christmas program yesterday…unfortunately the weather made that impossible. Our parking lot has been plowed, but we now have a sheet of ice that we must treat in order to clear it for Tuesday evening. Stay tuned for upcoming messages concerning our Christmas Eve service, if we are unable to clear the ice, we will cancel the Christmas Eve service.

IM Family: Former missionary Billie Sexton has fallen several times recently. Although she did not break any bones in the last fall (December 16), she fractured her arm earlier in the month. Pray for strength, relief from pain, and healing. Ask God to give her a real sense of His presence during these difficult times.
Globally: As in the States, many people attend church activities during the Christmas season who will not enter the church other times of the year. Pray participants will serve the Lord gladly. Pray attendees will be prepared to hear the message of salvation. Ask God to build unity in congregations as they focus on His magnificent gift of salvation wrapped in His Child. Many events will occur which are not listed.

- Bible Challenges
Bible Memorization Challenge: Isaiah 53:4–5 (ESV)…Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
Bible Reading Challenge: Isaiah 53:1-12
- Pastor’s Note
I hate canceling our services for any reason. However, when it comes to the safety of the congregation, I will always err on the side of safety. Unfortunately, with the freezing rain preceding the snow, our parking lot was extremely dangerous on Sunday morning, and continues to be hazardous with the snow cleared away. The parking lot could almost be used as a skating rink! We will be working to clear the ice before Tuesday, but please pray for the safety of the men who will be working.
I hope you will all take time on Christmas Day to consider the wonder of the birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus. It was a magnificent display of God’s love and grace toward mankind, toward you! We don’t have to be perfect in order to experience God’s love and grace, we just have to accept the offer that comes through Jesus…what a joy we can have when we come to Him in faith believing that He has accomplished everything that needs to happen so that we can be forgiven and our adoption into the heavenly family of God can be completed.
I pray you will enjoy a safe and joyous Christmas!
