Our vision is simple: Central Church will strive to be the neighborhood church that supports your family’s journey as you seek God’s will.
We’re continuing to look at the idea of Living in Crisis Mode. Whether we realize it or not, that’s where most of us spend the majority of our time. In reality, we ought to be spending nearly all of our time there…

Carlisle Hanna has been a Free Will Baptist missionary in India for over 65 years. That’s right, he has been serving for over 65 years; his ministry in Northern India has borne much fruit. Keep this missionary warrior in your prayers! If you don’t know about him, you really need to go read his bio and ministry page.
Bible Reading Challenge: Matthew 16:1-28
Bible Memorization Challenge: Matthew 16:24 (ESV)…Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
What a tremendous day we had yesterday! Any time we can celebrate the Lord’s Supper is a great day, as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus for the purpose of redeeming us from sin. However, when you add in two baptisms, that really crowns a day! God is moving among us, working in and through us, and I believe He has even more in mind for us in the days to come. We have more opportunities to minister the love of Christ in our community than ever before. Please, keep praying for five new families. I believe God wants us to reach five new families with the gospel in the coming months. Pray, ask God to use you and everybody else within our family to find and reach these families.
With Vacation Bible School starting this evening it will be a busy time around here. Pray for those who will be attending, and those who will be working. The workers need strength and compassion, and a little patience. Some of the children who will be attending won’t know who Jesus is, or what he’s already done for them. Pray that all of the lessons, crafts, play time, and songs will reach those who need Jesus.
I have added a new page at our church’s website, called Life at Central. It is a photo gallery of events here at the church. If you want a photo included, please send it to me; the more photos on this page, the better it is.
This coming Sunday we will be continuing to look at how we are Living in Crisis Mode. There are times when we all need a little confirmation concerning our faith. There are times when, perhaps, our faith begins to waver a little bit. During those times we need a little extra help, and praise the Lord, He is always faithful to us. Even the disciples of Jesus, the closest friends He had during His earthly ministry, needed a little extra help. What they saw, what they experienced, changed their view of Jesus from an abstract one to a concrete view. What they thought they knew was cemented into an assurance that would serve them well in the days and weeks to come. What they needed was a transformation. That’s what we’ll be looking at this coming week.
I hope to see you in church soon!
