Alan is the senior pastor of Central Church; he was installed as the pastor on February 9, 2002. Alan grew up in Washington State, and was introduced to Jesus while attending high school, asking Jesus into his life in November of 1975. Following high school, Alan began a 22-year career in the U.S. Navy, serving in various locations around the world. While in the Navy, he was also serving the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, elder, youth worker, and eventually as an Assistant Pastor in two different Free Will Baptist churches. He is also currently serving as the Moderator for the Missouri State Association of Free Will Baptists.
I believe that the church is the avenue through which Jesus operates. We are meant to be a family, and that is the core of how I perceive my role in leading the church. I strive to lead in such a way that we can be a family; together, loving and supporting one another as we use our gifts to serve the Lord.
