Our Messages
As we approach Easter, we are looking at the words that Jesus spoke as He was on the cross.

Father, Forgive Them

What’s Happening At Central
This coming Saturday, March 29th, we will have our Pinewood Derby with a real race car, and driver in attendance to share his testimony about Jesus.  Racing is free; concessions will be available for purchase!

The Advisory Board will meet on Monday, April 21st at 6:00 PM.

We will be collecting our annual World Missions Offering on Sunday, April 27th during the morning worship service.

On Wednesday, April 30th, the Watoto Children’s Choir will be at Central Church.  We still need several host homes for this event (2-3 children plus an adult sponsor in each home).

Missionary News
Spain: Praise God for the 26 youth from ages four to 13, who led the Alpedrete church service on March 16th.  Thank Him for the unsaved who attended.  Pray the Holy Spirit will continue to work in their hearts and they will recognize their need of Jesus.

Brazil: Praise God for the 16 people baptized Sunday, March 16th, at the São José Church in Campinas, Brazil.  Ask God to continue the work He has begun in each life, to give each individual a burden to share the gospel, and to help them be faithful to their commitment.  Pray also for Pastor Nilvio as he disciples new believers.

Stateside: Praise God for over 200 churches signed up to participate in this year’s World Missions Offering (WMO) on April 27th.  Pray for hundreds more to participate!  Ask God to move, once again, on the hearts of Free Will Baptists so missionaries can labor overseas without financial concerns.

France: Praise God that Lydie Teague went through the process with United States Immigration Services for citizenship in a much faster and easier process than anticipated.  Ask God to continue to use her and Joel as they share the gospel with young adults in France.

Panama: Praise God for a sixth student who began classes Monday at the Chame Bible Institute in Panama.  Pray each of these students will be diligent in their studies.  Ask God to be with each of those who administrate and teach at this Bible institute.

Brazil: Praise God for the safety of travel for Bobby Poole and his son John, pastor of the Frist FWB Church in Ribeiråo Preto, when they returned to Brazil, Friday, March 14.  Ask God to continue to comfort and strengthen Brother Bobby.

India: Approximately 7,000 people gathered in Sonapur, March 13th-16th, for the Indian Free Will Baptists’ national convention.  Praise God for the work He is doing in India and beyond through men who travel many miles each week to take the Word of God to multiple villages.  Pray for safety, continued perseverance, and health for these dedicated servants.

Bible Challenges
Bible Reading Challenge:
Mark 15:1-39

Bible Memorization Challenge: Psalm 24:3–4 (ESV)…3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place?  4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.

Pastor’s Note
I have to admit, this is my favorite part of the year.  Spring, even with my allergies, I really do like Spring.  The main reason is that this is the season in which we celebrate Easter.  Of all of the Christian holidays, this is the one that means the most to me.  It forces me to remember that Jesus died for my sins; it forces me to confront that empty tomb!  Every year we get the chance to be reminded, to be confronted, and to be assured!  What we believe about Jesus isn’t a myth or empty story.  His death, burial, and resurrection are well documented.  The empty tomb is the physical evidence of a divine intervention by God into humanity’s desperate need.

Aren’t you glad that God intervened?  Aren’t you glad that God decided to show mercy to us, to be gracious toward us, and assure us that we can know Him and spend eternity with Him?  I certainly am, and I hope you are, as well.

I hope to see you in church soon!
